The 4th Hainan International Brand Expo will be held in Sanya in March
The 4th Hainan International Brand Expo will be held from March 22nd to 24th, 2019 in Sanya, according to a press conference held in Haikou on February 14.
The theme of the exhibition will be “Sharing a New Starting Point for Free Trade”. It is expected to be a grand event celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. It is also seen as an important step for Hainan to promote its comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up. The exhibition will summarize the successful experiences of the first three Hainan International Tourism Trade Fairs, take full advantage of Hainan’s importance as a strategic fulcrum of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and explore new ideas for the transformation and upgrading of Hainan’s convention and exhibition industry under the new circumstances.
The exhibition will last for three days and the exhibition area will be about 20,000 square meters. There will be three major exhibition areas: a duty-free exhibition area, national and urban exhibition area and an enterprise exhibition area. The exhibits will focus on two major areas of tourism and consumption, focusing mainly on international and Chinese first-class commodities and service brands, including special tourism resources and tourism products, health care, food and beverage, apparel, jewelry, consumer electronics, hotel goods, brand planning and service agencies in order to create a large exhibition of world brands.
This year's spring tourism activities will begin in Changjiang Li autonomous county, Hainan province this weekend, running for a month.
Nine themed activities, including singing and dancing shows, folk performances, and a photo competition, will be held. Blooming red kapoks will help spruce up the atmosphere.
The view of kapok blossoms along the riverside in Pai'an village, Chahe town, Changjiang attracts many visitors. Fields filled with rice paddies and kapoks light up the whole countryside like a classical painting. The kapok scenic spot offers a walking tour that gives tourists a glimpse into rural life.
A special B&B for viewing kapoks opened in Pai'an village just 200 meters from the popular attraction. The house is characterized by its Li architectural style, full of folk charm, surrounded by red kapoks, and offering local green food to tourists. The village fair sells fresh produce directly from local farmers.
A series of kapok viewing activities showcase the unique culture and natural beauty of Changjiang. The tourism activities suit the local development trend and provide an opportunity to accelerate industrial transformation. The renowned Changjiang kapok has helped turn Changjiang into a tourist destination and contributed to the development of local tourism and tertiary industries. Changjiang's abundant natural resources will help drive economic growth and increase incomes for locals.
According to the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hainan Province, 11 billion yuan ($1.62 billion) will be used this year to promote the full coverage of optical fiber networks and high-speed mobile telecommunication services in rural and urban areas throughout Hainan.
To accelerate the growth of telecommunications in villages, four billion yuan will be used to provide farm households access to faster optical fiber broadband connections and 4G services by the end of this year, with a desired coverage rate of over 99 percent. Public resources offered by administrative institutions and enterprises will help improve optical network connections.
Another seven billion yuan is planned to help speed up the construction and maintenance of Hainan's power grid infrastructure in 2019. Further efforts will be made to consolidate grid structures in villages and cities and increase the cable coverage rate in towns.
